About The Position

The Collections Manager supports the care, documentation, and presentation of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame’s motorcycle and artifact collection in Pickerington, Ohio. Working directly with the Hall of Fame Museum Curator, this role helps ensure objects are preserved, cataloged, transported, and exhibited according to professional museum standards. The position manages object handling, documentation, photography, storage, loan coordination, and exhibition installation, collaborating with donors, lenders, transporters, volunteers, and museum staff to care for objects and deliver safe, professional exhibits that engage visitors. The role also supports fundraising projects, remote exhibitions, and museum operations as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in museum studies, history, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum two years of experience working with museum collections or equivalent.
Knowledge of museum collections management principles and ethical standards.
Proficiency with collections management software.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in low-light environments.

Knowledge of motorcycle history or culture.

Responsibilities
