The Collection Management Assistant works with the Curator of the Mollusk Collection performing routine curatorial tasks in the Division, including locating, labeling, and assessing the condition of fluid preserved mollusk specimens as part of an ongoing inventory project. The role also involves working with volunteers in the Division to accomplish tasks. Exposure to hazardous chemicals (chiefly ethanol and formalin) is possible, requiring lab safety trainings and proper PPE. This position is within the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University.
