The Collections Intern is part of the Fall 2026 cohort for the Ipu Kāʻeo Internship Program, designed to offer local talent valuable work experience in Hawai’i. Under the general direction of the Assistant Registrar, the intern will support HoMA's Collections Department with daily tasks and long-term projects, including inventorying storage objects and reorganizing object files. The internship prioritizes training in object handling and museum record keeping, with opportunities to assist with exhibitions and collection rotations. This role provides hands-on experience in museum Collections Department functions, developing administrative skills, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. This is a 9-week position from September 16th to November 13th, 2026.
