About The Position

The Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office (OPDA) is seeking a Collection Analyst for the Child Support Enforcement Division. Under the leadership of Jason Rogers Williams, who took office in January 2021, OPDA is committed to building a 21st-century prosecutors' office focused on increasing public safety through the ethical, consistent, and zealous enforcement of the law. This role is crucial in ensuring timely payments and adherence to legal obligations related to child support cases.

Responsibilities

• Systematically monitor assigned caseload.
• Ensure timely payments on child support cases through telephone contact, correspondence, and appropriate court action.
• Monitor cases for enforcement measures, health insurance enforcement, and financial audit.
• Monitor adherence to employer income assignment orders.
• Perform parent locate on parties as necessary.
• Initiate process of Rules and Motions to be forwarded to the legal department/Assistant DAs.
• Testify in court when necessary.
• Address walk-in clients.
• Handle incoming phone calls from parties, employers, or other agencies related to caseload or while temporarily filling in for others.
• Review and take action on daily system-generated case enforcement reminders.
• Maintain caseload filing.
• Maintain both OPDA and Department of Children and Family Services email accounts.
