About The Position

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. Mission Technologies is searching for an experienced CSO/ACSO to join our team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the facility’s SCI security program under the direction of their cognizant government security lead. Other responsibility includes developing an organizational approach to complying with the customer's mission and Vision statement while implementing applicable security policies at their facility. This individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and be well versed on all security disciplines: physical security, industrial security, information security, personnel security, and cyber-security.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience with certification in assigned are required.
  • Shall have extensive experience using the SIMS application or other security database.
  • Shall have 3 or more years’ experience in developing, organizing, and administering a Security training program.
  • Experience conducting security classification reviews in accordance with security classification guidance pre-applicable OCA guidance.
  • TS.SCI clearance required at time of hire with ability to obtain CI Poly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing the operation of closed-circuit surveillance system
  • Experience in drafting and overseeing construction security plans
  • Working knowledge of Controlled Access Programs (CAP)/Special Access Programs (SAP) (U) Working knowledge of DoDM 5205-07 vol(s) 1-4
  • Possession of the security Fundamentals professional certification (SFPC)

Responsibilities

  • Applying SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines.
  • Supervising the SCIF, maintaining documentation, administering the SCI program.
  • Controlling, transmitting, transporting, packaging, destroying, and inventorying accountable classified information.
  • Conducting or leading security inquiries to include drafting final incident reports.
  • Creating and maintaining PERSEC records within DISS and/or Scattered Castles.
  • Certifying, transmitting, receiving visitor clearances and accesses.
  • Conducting indoctrination and termination briefings.
  • Conducting annual facility security self-assessments.
  • Managing, supervising, and providing support to SAPS.
  • Initiating security clearance investigations in equip.
  • Overseeing the operation of access control systems and intrusion detection systems.
  • Reporting derogatory information to the Central Adjudication Facility (CAF) on SCI-indoctrinated personnel.
