The Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer (ACSSO) will provide industrial security support on all aspects of government security requirements in order to maintain a compliant government security program. This position requires an active Top Secret SCI Clearance with Polygraph. The role has been designed as 'Onsite' with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience working as a ACSSO.
  • Understanding of Intelligence Community Directives and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Experience with MPO procurement database.
  • Experience with DISS, Scattered Castles or similar database.
  • Experience with Certification and Accreditation of SCIFs and Closed areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with specific polygraph at time of hire.
  • 3+ years Industrial Security and/or security experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for day-to-day implementation and coordination of company guidelines and security practices as outlined in the customer and HPE corporate security manuals and security classification guides.
  • Assists in contract guard force management.
  • Collaborates with the HPE Government Security staff with personnel security functions.
  • Conduct self-inspections of the facility’s security program.
  • Prepare documentation for DSCA inspections.
  • Review all incoming DD254s to ensure compliance and issue any required subcontractor DD254s.
  • Navigate SIMS, NISS, DISS, SWFT, NBIS, e-App and similar USG systems.
  • Communicates with customers to obtain rulings, interpretations, and approved deviations, ensuring compliance with all government regulations.
  • Provides facility security administration, documentation and accreditation support.
  • Manages and maintains UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Ensures the development, documentation, and presentation of classified security education, awareness, and training activities.
  • Assists in preparing manuals and/or establishing procedures for handling, storing and recordkeeping of classified material.
  • Processes individuals for personnel security clearances/special accesses; and provides oversight for secure area visit and/or entry control.
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventative action to be taken.
  • Participates in security and risk assessments.
  • Works closely with government security counterparts, internal/external program managers, and other industry customers/partners to ensure program success.
  • Responsible for completing tasks related to the certification and accreditation of secure areas.
  • Executes other duties as assigned to support operations.
  • Interface with all levels of management to support the administration of a classified contract to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.
  • Maintain Security Information Management System (SIMS) data base; serving as technical expert and driving strategic enhancements to all industrial security systems and tools, such as FSO Dashboards, SIMS, NISS, DISS/NBIS; ensuring information accuracy, quality assurance, and integration across all enterprise systems and platforms.
  • Additional duties will include back-up support for processing all aspects of the personnel security functions (e.g., processing new employees for security clearances, processing individuals for necessary badges, and processing incoming / outgoing visit requests, request for access actions, and other duties as assigned).
