About The Position

The Coffee Shop Attendant is responsible for greeting guests with a positive attitude, taking orders, preparing and delivering food and beverages, and maintaining a clean service area. This role ensures accuracy in cash handling, provides excellent customer service, and follows all health department regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, or food service environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders for food and beverages.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with menu standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including counters, tables, and service stations.
  • Process guest payments accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Restock supplies, including food, beverages, and condiments, throughout the shift.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring the proper handling and preparation of food and beverages.
  • Communicate with guests to ensure their satisfaction and handle any special requests.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down the coffee shop during opening and closing shifts.
