About The Position

At Partners Coffee, we are dedicated to roasting quality coffee. We are looking for an experienced large batch Production Roaster to join our team to roast our coffee and perform general roasting tasks such as receiving greens, batching, blending, cleaning/maintenance, and occasionally assisting with bagging and fulfillment. Our ideal candidate is highly professional, focused, and organized, with a passion for coffee. They should have at least five years of professional roasting experience and have worked with Probat coffee roasters in a 60+ kilo capacity or another traditional drum roaster with a 60+ kilo capacity. Familiarity with Cropster is beneficial, and solid cupping experience is a must. Ideally, the candidate has worked in an organic facility and is familiar with USDA organic protocols. The role requires the ability to work on your feet for 10+ hours, lift up to 60lb (154lb assisted), climb ladders, and hear audible cues. Federal Holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) will be worked as the warehouse is open. The position requires working one day on the weekend, and occasional very early opens and very late closes will be necessary to meet daily production requirements.

Requirements

Five years of professional roasting experience
Experience with Probat coffee roasters in a 60+ kilo capacity or another traditional drum roaster with a 60+ kilo capacity
Solid cupping experience
Ability to work on your feet for 10+ hours
Ability to lift up to 60lb (154lb assisted)
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to hear audible cues
Forklift experience/license
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to use a pallet jack
Hearing and the ability to perceive mechanical sound cues
Repetitive physical movements of the hands and wrists throughout the day
