Code Enforcement Officer
About The Position

Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., currently has an opening for a Part-time Code Enforcement Officer in the Sonoma CA area. The qualified individual will be responsible for conducting field investigations regarding possible violations of a variety of City/County codes and ordinances, and related municipal codes including zoning, nuisance, property maintenance, housing, transportation, and animal and business license/permits, health and sanitation.
Requirements
- Current PC 832 certification.
- Certification as a Code Enforcement Officer from CACEO or similar organization.
- 1 or more years’ experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 1 year of municipal experience.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing local and state codes related to public health, safety, and welfare.
- Investigates and resolves complaints involving general nuisances, substandard housing conditions, and zoning violations.
- Conducts site inspections, document findings, and works with property owners to achieve compliance through education, notices, and enforcement actions.
- Coordinates with other departments and agencies as needed and ensures adherence to applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations.
