This role involves actively taking orders, conducting full and complete beverage and food service, and monitoring the guests' lounge/bar experience. The Cocktail Server will interact with guests, team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. The position requires anticipating and accommodating all guest needs, providing professional and exceptional service, presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions for all beverage and food items. Informing guests of food and beverage specials with prices, soliciting allergy or dietary restrictions, and accurately entering all orders into the POS system are key responsibilities. Ensuring the delivery of all food and beverage to guests, maintaining general cleanliness of assigned stations and the venue, and reporting any breakage or damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management are also essential. The role requires following supervisor instructions, communicating with and supporting co-workers, and being a team player. Possessing in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company, serving beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards, and following proper procedures for bottle service, cash/payment card handling, and sanitation standards are crucial. Accurately completing end-of-shift financial procedures and communicating guest needs to support staff, managers, and chefs are also part of the job. This includes properly setting up the cocktail lounge/bar and side stations, performing side-work, and completing opening/closing procedures, ensuring furniture is clean, tables are set, and side-stations are stocked. Attending and participating in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings is expected. Learning by listening, observing, sharing knowledge, and leading by example, while portraying a positive and professional attitude and demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments, are important aspects of the role. Working as part of a team, providing help and support to all team members, and completing additional tasks as assigned are also required.
