About The Position

The Cocktail Server serves a variety of products to guests and provides excellent service while creating a positive atmosphere in dining locations. The role requires thorough knowledge of food, wine, and liquor; competence in service procedures; and a commitment to guest satisfaction. The Cocktail Server reports to the Restaurant Manager. This is a seasonal, full-time position at Element 47 at The Little Nell. Applications will be accepted until October 25, 2026.

Requirements

At least 1 year of serving or bartending experience.
Familiarity with Forbes Five-Star standards and procedures.
Knowledge of food and beverage products offered.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
Ability to assist customers and meet their needs effectively.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Basic problem-solving ability.
Clear verbal and written communication in English with team members and customers.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work under stressful circumstances.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks.
Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 1 year of advanced beverage knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a friendly manner and serve them according to established procedures and standards.
Know the bar menus and describe menu items to guests when needed.
Manage the bank and ensure its safe return or deposit.
Use the Point of Sale system adequately.
Secure payment from guests.
Clear, clean, and reset the bar during service.
Properly open and close the bar.
Inform managers of guest comments and complaints.
Maintain familiarity with Colorado liquor laws.
Complete tasks and projects delegated by the manager.
Assist other departments as business volume and staffing levels require.
Perform other duties as assigned.
