Requirements

Hospitality-oriented.
Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant setting. (Min. 1 year)
Technical knowledge in pastry.
Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
Must be able to bend, squat, stand for prolonged periods, reach, stretch, reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching. Move over inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift up to 60 pounds.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have good communication skills in Spanish and English.

Nice To Haves

Certifications in pastry, preferably.

Responsibilities

Must master the pastry station.
Ensures all food and station preparations are ready for each shift.
Guarantees all desserts/breads are prepared following the recipes designated by the supervisor.
Is responsible for the complete setup, cleaning, and organization of the pastry station before each shift.
Cleans preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and service areas, ensuring safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Ensures food freshness and ingredients by checking quality, controlling inventory of new and existing products, and rotating stock.
Complies with all company safety policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
Completes safety training and certifications.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
Performs other reasonable job-related functions as assigned by supervisors.
