The CoC (Chain of Custody) Regional Manager for Affiliates in Western Europe and Americas is responsible for quality assurance for audits, technical support for assigned affiliates, and maintaining accreditations. This role supports the development of the CBE timber and paper certification business, primarily FSC/PEFC COC certification and timber due diligence services, in the assigned regions. The position involves ensuring proper communication with the Global Forestry Team, supporting the revision of COC procedures, and ensuring accreditation standards are incorporated into SGS procedures. The role provides technical support to affiliates, coordinates the technical review of COC reports, and performs technical reviews and internal office audits as needed. Key responsibilities include maintaining the FSC Database, quality management, monitoring affiliate performance, assuring the FSC Trademark approval service, and maintaining required records. The role also involves attending accreditation body audits, following up on complaints and appeals, setting up and maintaining auditor training, and acting as a Tutor for COC Lead Auditor Trainings. Additionally, the CoC Manager assures certification competences, consults affiliates in hiring and training auditors, prepares auditor application packages, and conducts L1 audits of COC auditors. Adherence to SGS management system quality and safety requirements, and conducting assigned training courses and FSC audits are also part of the role. The role reports to the Manager of the CBE European Competence Center Forestry Timber and Paper.
