This role provides coordination, guidance, and direction to functional leads, focusing on paint activities including inspection call outs, surface preparation, and paint application. The position emphasizes milestone achievement and cost and schedule performance. The Coordinator will take a lead role in training craft personnel on painting responsibilities in conjunction with Fit-Out management. They will coordinate, mediate, and resolve craft-specific production work sequence conflicts that affect painting of lockouts and spaces onboard ships. A daily presence is required to monitor safety, housekeeping, work progress, and staff performance. The role involves conducting and attending meetings, ensuring work aligns with the published schedule, and that production schedules are reasonable and achievable. The Coordinator will perform random validation of status reporting against actual work performed to ensure accuracy for Earned Value Management processes. They will ensure compliance with Quality procedures, contract requirements, and regulatory body and classification society guides, rules, and regulations. Daily communication with the Project Manager is essential for reporting status, issues, and initiating variance analysis and corrective action plans. The role also involves monitoring and validating resource requirements, rework, and lessons learned processes for continuous improvement, and supporting executive briefings, meetings, tours, and reporting as requested.
