Lydian is seeking a 6-month Coatings Engineer/Scientist Co-op for Spring 2026 to develop and optimize coating materials, including slurry formulation, monolith coatings, and coatings characterization. This role involves the optimization and scale-up of these methods for pilot-scale demonstrations. The co-op will work at the intersection of materials chemistry and process engineering, developing slurries that can be applied uniformly and reliably to ceramic substrates and withstand demanding high-temperature operation. The individual will collaborate with engineers and scientists across various domains to inform experimental design and research priorities, with their work directly influencing catalyst manufacturing at scale. This is an hourly, fully in-person, and hands-on lab position based in Boston, MA, with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
