About The Position

The Coating Technician is responsible for applying wash coat to catalyst substrates, ensuring quality specifications are met, and performing final quality checks. This role involves preparing and analyzing coating materials, demonstrating proper use of PPE, and handling materials and product staging. The technician will also be responsible for inputting data related to the coating process and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing exposure
• Chemical handling experience
• Quality control and quality assurance experience
• Process blending and mixing experience
• Ability to operate forklift

Responsibilities

• Apply Alumina wash coat to catalyst substrate
• Ensure quality specifications meet compliance standards
• Perform final quality check on each element
• Package element in appropriate container
• Prepare and analyze alumina 100 wash coat, bulk batch and dip tank
• Demonstrate proper selection/use PPE for coating department
• Proper product staging, storage, and coating preparation for CO product
• First and second wash coat dipping and data input
• Understand and identify product quality specifications
• Material handling and transporting of product
• Other duties as assigned
