Requirements

2-4 years of experience in a laboratory environment
Experience in materials synthesis and coating formulation blending, particularly for production environments.
Hands-on experience with QC instruments, including FTIR, refractometer, durometer, viscometer, and rheometer.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Adherence to Lean manufacturing principles and 6S practices.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the synthesis and formulation of polymer coating materials, rigorously following work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to performance specifications. Work closely with operations and R&D teams.
Responsible for measuring defined properties of coating materials by following work instructions to ensure compliance with the QC protocol. Some of the tests include but are not limited to: FTIR for chemical characterization, Refractometer for refractive index measurements, Durometer for hardness testing, and Rheometer for viscosity and rheological property evaluations.
Participate in Quality audits to ensure compliance with work instructions and quality standards of final products.
Responsible for maintaining a well-organized, clean, and efficient coating laboratory. Apply Lean principles (6S, etc) to strive towards manufacturing excellence, high yield and reduce cost.
Responsible for maintaining detailed records of production and R&D activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards.
Expected to follow established site safety protocols. Share suggestions for continuous improvement with our safety team and promote a culture of safety within the laboratory environment.
