About The Position

The Batcher ensures fabric is processed accurately and efficiently according to shop order requirements. The role supports machine operations, inspections, and documentation to maintain product quality, safety, and production flow. The employee must be able to work assigned shifts and scheduled workdays; overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver fabric rolls weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
• Ability to stand on concrete floors and metal catwalks for up to 7 hours per day.
• Ability to walk approximately 200 feet up to 40 times per day.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required by the job.
• Good vision and ability to identify fabric defects and shade variations.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and scheduled workdays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift license, or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of emergency and safety devices on tenter frames.
• Follow the bell communication system when entering and exiting machine ends.
• Comply with plant and departmental safety, quality, and housekeeping policies.
• Follow shop order notes and maintain accurate records in IFS and physical logbooks.
• Assist operators and inspectors during machine setups.
• Perform operator or inspector duties during scheduled breaks and unscheduled absences as needed.
• Complete additional tasks or duties as assigned by management or shift leadership.
