About The Position
Lyric Opera of Chicago is seeking a Coat Check Attendant to provide exceptional customer service to patrons. This part-time, non-exempt, seasonal role involves managing the coat check room, ensuring patrons' belongings are securely stored and retrieved. The position requires accuracy in handling cash and a commitment to punctuality and responsibility. As the business evolves, this role may also adapt to changing needs.
Requirements
- Must be pleasant and friendly and exemplify high-level customer service at all times.
- Must have previous experience handling cash.
- Must be punctual and responsible.
- Must be available to work all of the matinee, evening and weekend performances.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and patrons.
- Ensure patron coats, bags, hats, umbrellas, etc. are taken and hung in the coat check room and give tickets to patrons to retrieve their item(s) at any time.
- Effectively and accurately work with cash.
- Adapt to evolving duties as business needs change.
