Coaching Positions - Oakland School District
About The Position
Oakland School District is hiring coaches for several athletic opportunities: OHS Wrestling Assistant Coach, OHS Girls Basketball Assistant Coach, OHS Baseball Head Coach, and OMS Track Head Coach. Coaches instruct and supervise students and attend all practice sessions and events. The beginning date is to be determined, and positions are open until filled. Pay is according to the salary schedule. Applicants must provide a letter of application and a copy of a valid First Aid Card. The First Aid Card and all OSAA-required state coaching certifications must be completed before coaching begins. Employment is subject to a successful pre-employment drug screen. Applicants must also complete a criminal history check and fingerprinting at their own expense.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid First Aid Card; a copy must be submitted with the application.
- Ability to supervise and motivate students.
- Knowledge of rules, teaching techniques, safety, and equipment maintenance.
- First Aid Card and all OSAA-required state coaching certifications must be complete before the first practice or start of coaching.
- Successful criminal history check and fingerprinting, at the applicant's expense.
- Successful pre-employment drug screen, paid for by the district.
Nice To Haves
- Prior coaching and/or playing experience is desirable.
