About The Position

Natomas Unified School District is recruiting coaches for American Lakes School for the 2026–2027 school year. Available positions are Assistant Basketball Coach, 6th Grade Boys’ Basketball Coach, and Cross Country Coach. The basketball coaching listings include the dates 11/20–12/10.

Coaches must have at least two years of coaching or playing experience, organizational skills, the ability to communicate with elementary- and middle-school-level students, the ability to teach skills and drills at the high-school level, and the ability to work well with others. A CPR/First Aid card and current TB test are required; district fingerprinting is also required.

Candidates must meet the minimum requirements and successfully complete an interview and reference check. Three references are required, including the candidate’s most recent supervisor. All certificates and required materials must be completed and submitted before coaching begins. Applicants must provide a letter of introduction, three current letters of recommendation, and a resume listing all coaching experience.
