About The Position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school seeking Athletic Coaches to coach the 36 sports our school competes in. The school's mission is to educate students for leadership and responsible citizenship by developing the whole individual, mind, spirit, and body, through integrated programs that emphasize the cultivation of character. Culver Academies is located in Culver, Indiana, on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, encompassing 1,800 acres of green hills and woodlands, and a historic collegiate-like campus with beautiful Gothic buildings and architecture. The school seeks diverse talent to support its mission and enrich its learning environment, and is always looking to strengthen its organizational leadership by adding outstanding talent to its faculty and staff whose passion is to serve its students.

Requirements

Substantial coaching experience, as well as playing experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
A commitment to modeling Culver’s mission and cultivating character.
Deep passion for and knowledge of the game that you are coaching.
A willingness to develop professionally and continually improve as a coach.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other coaches, teachers, parents, and athletic department staff.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
A clear vision concerning what it means/takes to build and maintain a successful athletic program.
Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a passion for teaching and coaching.
