About The Position

This position involves leading and developing teams, driving financial performance, and ensuring operational excellence within a store environment. The role focuses on effective team leadership through training, feedback, and communication, while also managing store operations, merchandising, and business initiatives. A key aspect is providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and implementing action plans for improvement. The role also entails supervising and developing hourly associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a culture of belonging and integrity. The trainee will be responsible for achieving sales and profit goals, mitigating shrink, and promoting continuous improvement and adaptability.

Requirements

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
• Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
• Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions.
• Communicates business objectives to teams effectively.
• Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
• Manages and supports customer service initiatives.
• Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
• Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership.
• Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements.
• Manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
• Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring.
• Assigns duties, sets clear expectations, provides associate recognition, and communicates expectations consistently and effectively.
• Promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
• Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.
• Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
