About The Position

Linde Inc. is seeking a CO2 Production Technician in Decatur, AL. This role involves safely operating a Liquid Carbon Dioxide plant to ensure reliable, efficient, and consistent performance. The technician will perform and facilitate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment to sustain operational readiness. Key responsibilities include monitoring process performance, adjusting operating parameters, and collecting/interpreting condition-monitoring data to maintain safety, reliability, quality, and efficiency. The role also includes performing and documenting preventive and predictive maintenance tasks using a computerized maintenance management system, maintaining compliance with management of change requirements, and engaging cross-functional groups to resolve equipment and process issues. Additionally, the technician will oversee contractors, execute lockout and tagout procedures, recommend improvements to maintenance strategies and work processes, fill liquid bulk trailers, resolve fill zone issues, support maintenance scheduling and material procurement, and maintain housekeeping and organization within the work area.

Requirements

  • Experience operating production processes or systems in an industrial environment.
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and industrial instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of control and human-machine interface software such as Wonderware, Rockwell, and Siemens.
  • Ability to read and revise piping and instrumentation diagrams and schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Safety-focused professional.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communicates technical information clearly.
  • Safely operates forklifts, cranes, and aerial work platforms.
  • Performs work at height.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Apply analytical skills to support troubleshooting and quality-related activities.
  • Uphold safety standards and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the role, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights.

  • Associate Degree from a technical school preferred.
