Co-op: Verification and Validation Engineering (Spring 2027)
About The Position
MSA Safety is seeking a Spring 2027 co-op to support verification and validation engineering for safety-focused products. The role involves product and software verification, designing test systems and procedures, and contributing to work that helps protect firefighters, industrial workers, and the environment. The co-op will gain exposure to verification engineering through potential work in test harness development, software development, automation, test execution, and requirements analysis. The position includes technical coaching and mentoring from a skilled, collaborative team. Eligible candidates may receive a housing stipend.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an ABET-accredited program with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Take a proactive and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
- Have awareness of the software development lifecycle and challenges that can arise during hardware/software development.
- Have strong technical skills designing and implementing software, including Python.
- Be able to work independently and within a team.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work with electronic circuits and related tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
