About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of smart, connected, and secure embedded control solutions. Our MCU business unit is looking for an Engineering intern to work alongside a team of experienced engineers in support of new product marketing projects. Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic intern to join our MCU Marketing team. This unique rotating internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various disciplines, including Technical Marketing, New Product Development and Introduction, Social Media and Business Intelligence. Candidates will be students who are passionate about technology and eager to learn about how new microcontroller chips go from concept to market. As a High School Summer Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to with experienced engineers and contribute to real-world projects. You will gain practical experience in the development and testing of electronic applications, using various lab equipment, and engaging in data gathering and evaluation. Requirements

  • Must be a high school student within CUSD with a strong academic record.
  • Actively involved with FIRST robotics.
  • Demonstrated interest in electronics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions for lab equipment use.
  • Some experience with programming is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Must provide their own transportation (ie over 16 years old)
  • Mandatory in office days Monday & Tuesday.
  • Can work additional days for a maximum of 32 hours per week (manager must be in office when intern is working)
  • Must be available for duration of HS Intern program 05/26/2026-7/10/2026
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
