About The Position

Are you a student who loves breaking things down to see how they work? Our Development Tools Academic Group is looking for a curious, hands-on intern to help us build the next generation of educational hardware content. In this role, you won't just be fetching coffee. Instead, you’ll be building, coding, and documenting real-world projects that help other students and engineers learn how to use modern microcontrollers.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with the fundamentals of Python.
  • Understand the basics of digital logic (gates, flip-flops, or how binary works).
  • Enjoy building things and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty with hardware.
  • Can explain how something works in writing or through a demo.

Nice To Haves

  • No prior experience required in developing for CircuitPython and Microchip PIC ecosystems.
  • No prior experience required in introduction to Verilog and hardware description languages.
  • No prior experience required in professional documentation and content creation for the tech industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design and code interactive projects using CircuitPython.
  • Work with Microchip’s Configurable Logic Block (CLB) on PIC microcontrollers.
  • Create clear, engaging content (guides, code snippets, and demos) to show others how to recreate your projects.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software until it works perfectly.
