The Transportation team is looking to add a Co-op Student to their team. Our ideal candidate has a passion for Transportation and a keen interest and aptitude for working with traffic and safety data and is excited to participate in developing new tools for assessing and improving safety in our roadways. The Co-op Student will be working on City of Victoria’s Sustainable Mobility Strategy which was adopted in 2019 and confirms our mobility values, policy positions, and key initiatives surrounding mobility. GoVictoria succeeds past transportation plans and introduces a single mobility strategy that reflects the inter-connectedness and inter-dependencies of all mobility networks. This holistic and integrated approach intends to deliver more effective planning and decision making across the transportation ‘system of systems’. As a student hired under the Co-operative Educational Training Program, you will be given meaningful and challenging assignments while being introduced to a career in municipal government. In this Co-op position you will assist with supernumerary projects and contribute to the overall goals of the work unit.
