About The Position

This is a 6-month co-op opportunity at Philips in Latham, NY, for individuals currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree. The role involves assisting in the design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets, troubleshooting mechanical issues, collaborating with engineers and scientists on design solutions, conducting experiments, and maintaining lab equipment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering
Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, setting up and executing test protocols.
Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment
Experience with 3D modeling and other engineering tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
