About The Position

This is a 6-month paid internship opportunity for individuals currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree at our site in Reedsville, PA. Through this role, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. You will support Operational Excellence initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and productivity objectives. You would collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, finance, and leadership to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements. Success in the role requires building strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, facilitating problem-solving efforts, and effectively communicating change initiatives that drive operational performance. As a Process Excellence Specialist Co-op, you will have the opportunity to develop professional skills in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, data analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to real-world operational improvement initiatives. Personally, the role helps build leadership, communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and confidence by working with diverse teams and driving measurable business results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or material engineering.
Green belt certified.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process mapping, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal skills such as effective communication, active listening, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, time management, professionalism, and the confidence to facilitate discussions, identify improvement opportunities, and influence positive changes in a cross-functional environment.
Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Nice To Haves

Experience with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
