About The Position

Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 6 month co-op opportunities at our site in Latham, NY. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. In this Electrical Engineering co-op, you will focus primarily on testing key components to support the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, setting up and executing test protocols.
Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment.
Experience with 3D modeling, circuit design and analysis tools, finite element analysis and other engineering tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of electronic controllers and superconducting magnets.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to printed circuit boards.
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes.
Document test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
