About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has openings for Electrical Engineer Co-Ops to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to apply classroom-learned skills to programs supporting the defense of the country. The co-op will work on projects that support national defense services, collaborating with esteemed customers to develop solutions for high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with GDMS's core mission. This role provides an opportunity to enhance skills by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues in a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Electrical Engineering discipline.
Preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology.
Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Department of Defense secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
U.S. citizenship is required.
