About The Position

Witherite Law Group (WLG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Co-Litigation Manager to oversee its legal team and ensure efficient and effective operation of the litigation department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of litigation processes and procedures. This role requires someone who can effectively manage multiple priorities, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive results through effective management and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software
  • College degree or comparable paralegal certification and experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the litigation team, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Make recommendations regarding additional training, oversight, or other needed support for the department.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and training as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Oversee the management of all litigation cases from inception to resolution, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement case management strategies and best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor case progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies, prepare for hearings and trials, and manage discovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing litigation practice.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate legal and financial risk for the firm and its clients.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, developments, and best practices related to litigation management and incorporate them into department operations.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the department and individual team members.
  • Participate in interviewing and making hiring recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior.
  • Timecard management for the Atlanta Litigation employees.
  • Assess and make recommendations of personnel termination, when needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.
