About The Position

Under general supervision, the CNS Warehouse Driver I drives a delivery vehicle to transport food, prepared hot and cold foods, and Child Nutrition Services supplies between the central kitchen, warehouse, and school serving locations. The role also receives, stores, issues, stages, loads, and unloads foods and supplies; maintains related records; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; proof of high school graduation or GED is required.
• Possess a valid and appropriate California driver's license.
• Qualify for insurability with the District's insurance carrier.
• Possess a current Food Handler's Card: a valid Certified Food Worker Card from San Bernardino County Environmental Health Services. The certificate must be submitted with the application.
• Provide complete reference contact information, including each reference's first and last name, phone number, and email address.
• Know how to receive, process, store, and distribute food and supplies; use simple record-keeping and inventory procedures; maintain vehicle safety; follow HACCP procedures; and safely and sanitarily store and transport food.
• Be able to safely operate a delivery vehicle; perform moderately heavy manual tasks; follow oral and written directions and HACCP procedures; work independently with minimal supervision; maintain effective working relationships; and demonstrate tact and courtesy.

• At least one reference from a supervisor is preferred.
