About The Position

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is offering multiple CNN FactCheck internship opportunities in the ATL area for Fall 2026. These internships are designed to provide selected interns with real-world experience in fact-checking within the news and journalism industry. Interns will be expected to work in the office on a regular cadence based on their manager's schedule. Potential internship roles include CNN en Espanol FactCheck Intern and CNN FactCheck Intern.

Requirements

  • Interest in news and journalism
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Candidates should be pursuing a career in journalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid reporting and research skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Well versed in current events, aware and interested in domestic and international news.
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and will not require work visa sponsorship.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Fact check scripts, digital articles, and long-form stories.
  • Review pieces for editorial accuracy, fairness, and balance.
  • Field editorial requests from CNN correspondents around the world by phone, email, and in-person, and help track projects.
