Requirements

  • Experience within Class I, II, and/or III medical device manufacturing using calibrated equipment and hazardous materials.
  • Background in regulated manufacturing; aerospace/defense/automotive experience welcomed.
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and comfort collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: equipment operation/care, inspection processes, and hand‑tool use for PM, repairs, tool changes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specs, and procedures; proven GD&T fluency.
  • Detail‑driven and organized; able to identify and manage nonconformances.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Technical school certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Citizen/Tsugami Swiss lathes, Index multi‑spindle lathes, and multi‑axis equipment (RoboDrills, mill‑turn, horizontal/vertical mills).
  • Execute offsets and tool changes to keep production efficient with minimal support.
  • Own setups for both legacy components and new production orders to achieve stable, repeatable throughput.
  • Verify quality using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, pin/thread gauges, comparators, Micro‑Hite, CMM, and vision systems.
  • Document inspections and maintain ISO 13485 records; ensure material control, identification, and traceability for conforming/nonconforming materials.
  • Lead or participate in problem‑solving for complex machine/process issues and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Support Quality Best Practices and continuous improvement in GDP/GMP.
  • Use ERP and QMS systems to document results and manage traceability.
  • Follow PPE guidance, uphold safe working conditions, and adhere to the TOMZ Quality Management System.
  • Pitch in with other duties as needed.
