About The Position

Dauphin Precision Tool, LLC, a supplier of American-made industrial cutting tools, is seeking a CNC Turning Lathe Operator for its production facility in Millersburg, Pennsylvania. The operator will set up and operate production machinery and train on first shift before working the third shift schedule of 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined. Trade school or prior machining experience is preferred, though the company will train the right individual. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be detail-oriented.
Understanding of production and plant processes.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Good math skills.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work in a team.

Nice To Haves

Trade school or prior machining experience; the employer will train the right individual.
Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility or similar relevant experience; the employer will train the right individual.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

Set up machinery for operation.
Make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance.
Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
Troubleshoot issues and perform daily maintenance.
Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to a supervisor.
Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
