About The Position

CNC Swiss Machinist Employment Type: Full-Time Placement Type: Direct Hire Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Shift: 2nd BestLogic Staffing is conducting a search for an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to join a precision manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC Swiss equipment for new and existing jobs, while driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of CNC machine setup experience preferred, with hands-on Swiss machining experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to program, set up, and run CNC Swiss equipment with limited supervision.
  • Strong blueprint-reading, inspection, measurement, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of tooling, fixturing, workholding, feeds, and speeds.
  • Experience machining aluminum, brass, leaded alloy steel, 300-series stainless steel including 316, 430F stainless steel, and 430FR stainless steel.
  • Basic computer proficiency, sound production judgment, and the ability to collaborate across the shop floor.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss machines, including Tsugami, Star, and Citizen equipment.
  • Read and work independently from blueprints, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Select, change, and set required tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices.
  • Establish and optimize feeds, speeds, and machining programs for new and existing parts.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring and gauging tools.
  • Own part quality, troubleshoot machining and tooling issues, and support machine operators.
  • Follow safety and 5S standards while participating in lean, Kaizen, and continuous-improvement activities.
