About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up, editing programs for, and operating multi-axis mill-turn machines and lathes. The role includes efficiently producing production lots, ensuring product quality, and inspecting work using a wide range of precision measurement instruments. The operator manages assigned job timelines to support on-time delivery and works overtime as needed. The position also emphasizes continuous process improvement and maintaining a clean, safe, orderly work area in accordance with 7S principles.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of work experience in setup, programming, and operation of 2–7 machines.
Ability to read and interpret prints and CAD files.
Knowledge and understanding of GD&T and design intent.
Ability to use inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong work ethic, positive team-player approach, and ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Willingness to work overtime to fulfill orders and meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machines and equipment to produce machined details and products according to print.
Operate CNC machines efficiently while producing quality products and managing machine operation.
Identify opportunities for program improvement and detect worn or damaged cutting tools.
Set up, edit programs for, and operate 2–7-axis lathes and mill-turn machines.
Manage assigned job timelines to ensure on-time delivery, working overtime as needed.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while following 7S principles.
Meet or exceed production goals and help limit internal and customer rejects.
