About The Position

A CNC Set Up Technician is responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for machines on 3rd Shift. The role involves recognizing tool paths by interpreting the program (G and M codes), performing machine set-ups and changeovers, and training associates on machining standards. The technician will troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques and participate in continuous improvement processes, while maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in high volume precision machining environment
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching and Part Finishing machining processes
• Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
• Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
