Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machinery
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Working knowledge of G-code
Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Strong attention to detail with solid math and reading skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mazatrol programming and controls
Prior experience in a high-volume or precision manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes according to job requirements and engineering drawings
Load and verify CNC programs; troubleshoot and make minor program edits as needed
Monitor machining processes and make tool and offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
Identify machining issues and recommend corrective actions
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
Follow all safety policies and procedures and work safely around equipment and coworkers
Rotate between machines or assignments as production needs require
Collaborate with team members and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
