About The Position

Operation of automated sawing equipment. This role involves processing cut orders on saws, maintaining a clean machine and surrounding area, and ensuring production levels meet supply and demand. The operator will work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, requiring a great level of attention to detail and focus. Collaboration with team members is essential to maximize productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities include lifting materials, changing blades, following safety requirements for equipment operation, loading and removing materials from tables, and performing preventative maintenance. The operator must understand and operate CNC machine controls, monitor sawing variables, and ensure output parts meet quality requirements. Setting up and arranging the work area for efficient production runs is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Basic troubleshooting and repair.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Proven measurement and mathematical fractional/decimal conversion skills.
  • Able to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
  • Candidate must be a strong team player.
  • Candidate has to be reliable.
  • Able to use measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, tape measure, & protractors.
  • Use hand tools as required.
  • Trained forklift and crane operator.
  • A high school graduate or GED equivalent w/ English language fluency.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous production experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Change out blades as needed.
  • Follow all safety requirements regarding forklift, crane, and saw operation.
  • Load infeed tables with proper material and remove finished goods from outfeed tables.
  • Performing preventative maintenance as required.
  • Understand and operate CNC machine controls.
  • Understand and monitor all sawing variables.
  • Ensure output parts meet quality requirements.
  • Set-up and arrange work area as suited for most efficient production runs.
