CNC Programmer - Cleveland

About The Position

AT&F is seeking a CNC Programmer to create programs for large, project-based parts, including complex fabrications used in submarines. The role involves programming and supporting machining on large-scale 5-axis machines, including VTLs and HBMs, and collaborating with machinists to resolve programming and machining challenges. The programmer also helps verify programs and machine settings using Digital Twin software, checks machined components, supports project quoting, and helps train less experienced machinists.

Requirements

At least 3 years of CNC programming experience with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or Siemens Sinumerik One.
Ability to interpret blueprint and drawing specifications and GD&T.
Applied experience with inspection methods such as hand gages and CMM.
Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications.
Experience dealing with lower run quantities per part.

Nice To Haves

Siemens controller experience.
Desire to work with the latest machining equipment, controller technology, and Digital Twin technology.

Responsibilities

Create CNC programs for large, project-based parts.
Review engineering prints and select and acquire appropriate tooling.
Create, catalogue, and maintain CNC programs and setup procedures.
Determine machining sequences and setup requirements.
Schedule equipment preventive maintenance and contact service technicians to repair equipment.
Work with machinists to troubleshoot programs and approaches for completing projects on large-scale 5-axis machines, including VTLs and HBMs.
Assist with quoting new projects.
Perform trial runs in Digital Twin software to verify programs and machine settings.
Inspect and measure machined components to confirm projects are progressing correctly.
Assist in training and developing less experienced AT&F machinists.
