About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our growing precision machining team in Sidney, Ohio. This is an opportunity to work in a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment where every day brings new projects, unique parts, and complex machining challenges. You'll play a critical role in programming and optimizing CNC equipment while partnering closely with machinists and engineers to deliver high-quality precision components for a variety of industries.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in CNC programming, CAM programming, or CNC machining
  • Proficiency with Mastercam or similar CAM software
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
  • Experience programming precision-machined components with tight tolerances
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume job shop
  • Programming and supporting 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC machines
  • CNC milling and turning experience
  • Prototype and short-run production environments
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAM or other advanced CAM systems
  • Knowledge of process improvement and lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and other CAM software
  • Develop efficient machining strategies for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Select tooling, fixturing, cutting parameters, and machining sequences
  • Support setup, prove-out, and first-piece inspection activities
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and provide programming support on the shop floor
  • Improve cycle times, tool life, and overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production personnel to solve complex manufacturing challenges
  • Maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, and program revisions
  • Support continuous improvement, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives
