About The Position

Hanwha Aerospace USA is hiring a 5 Axis CNC Programmer to work with the Engineering team to plan numerical control programs for contour-path machining of parts on automatic machine tools. The programmer uses CAD/CAM software and focuses on process improvement through current cutting-tool and optimization technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong machining and shop-floor background. The role involves operating advanced equipment and machinery; interpreting engineering drawings, models, and sketches; determining machining dimensions, tools, speeds, and feed rates; defining machining sequences; preparing setup and instruction materials; revising and debugging programs; and supporting corrective actions for programming-related nonconformances. The position also requires setting tools with precision instruments, verifying machining data at the control panel, following 5S practices and safety guidelines, and performing other related duties as assigned. The role is located in Newington, Connecticut. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms. The position may require travel of 5–10% when needed. Physical capability is evaluated through a post-offer, pre-employment Human Performance Evaluation, with or without reasonable accommodation.
