About The Position

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the CNC Programmer/Operator is responsible for programming and operating a CNC machine to build tools using 3D models. Reporting to the Machining Leader, the CNC Programmer/Operator ensures first time quality is a priority each and every time while also achieving time allowances for each job assigned.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of related experience operating CNC;
  • Four (4) years’ experience programming CNC machines (5-AXIS is a requirement and lathe is an asset, MasterCam software is an asset);
  • Ability to operate multiple machines at a time and work in a team environment;
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required;
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met;
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills;
  • Proficient in time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Import, manipulate, and process 3D models machining with 2D, 3D, 3+2, 5-axis and turning techniques;
  • Machine steel with close attention to health and safety requirements;
  • Use tools and machinery provided; program, setup and operate the CNC machine using MasterCam, Powermill, Esprit, 5-AXIS;
  • Machine components, cores and cavities; holding tolerances as tight as less than 0.0005
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments/probe to ensure first time quality;
  • Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances;
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs;
  • Utilize Lemoine pulse machine monitoring system
  • Utilize FCS toe clamping and chucks for setup and fixturing
  • Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed;
  • Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;
  • Maintain the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.;
  • Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
