About The Position

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist 1st Shift. This is a full time on-site position at our Marshall, MI facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $101000 a year. Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. The CNC Programmer/Machinist is responsible for programming and machining of various products and test fixtures in support of our valvetrain, torque, e-Mobility and boosting product lines. This position will be focused on CNC lathe/turning activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma and/or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in CNC machining.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience with mechanical blueprints, models and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) interpretation

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Applied Science
  • Six (6) years or higher in CNC lathes and turning (Okuma CNC lathe knowledge ideal)
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software, specifically Mastercam
  • Prior automotive knowledge (valvetrain and/or drivetrain components)
  • Knowledge of metric system
  • Proven mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Complete programming and machining of various products and test fixtures
  • Support engineering with design feasibility reviews of product prints and fixtures
  • Collaborate with team members on multi machine setups and operations.
  • Using hand tools, inspection and layout equipment including Dial Indicators, Micrometers, and Optical Comparators
  • Perform 5S and planned maintenance activities for the assigned work area and machine.
  • Strict adherence to quality systems and EHS polices.
