About The Position

HMC is seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machine tools to manufacture precision gears and components. This position is responsible for developing efficient machining programs, producing high quality parts, troubleshooting machining issues, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
CNC programming and machining experience required
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering and production teams
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred
CMM experience preferred
Experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for quality and efficiency.
Select tooling, establish speeds and feed, and verify machine setups.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Troubleshoot machine and programming issues and implement corrective actions.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain tooling and measuring equipment.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with training as experience allows.
