About The Position

The CNC Programmer & Engineering Support role develops CNC programs and manufacturing processes for new and legacy 5-axis, mill-turn, and/or Swiss lathe parts. The position programs parts and fixtures using CAM software, optimizes machining processes, and supports new product introduction and continuous improvement by setting up and running CNC mills and lathes as needed. The role also supports quoting and customer design-for-manufacturability feedback, mentors machinists, collaborates with them to resolve programming and machine issues, and develops and implements improvements to new and legacy parts. The position is based in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility described as collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced, and innovation-driven, with continuous learning encouraged. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. ARCH Global Precision describes the role as contributing to patient care worldwide and offers career growth, training, and mentorship. Requirements

Technical training in precision machining, a degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience in machine programming.
Five or more years of relevant experience in CNC machining or manufacturing.
Proficiency in GibbsCAM, Mastercam, or similar CAM software.
Knowledge of G-code for multi-axis CNC machining.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, GD&T, and machine control systems.
Knowledge of quality instruments and how to use them.
Experience with the business side of operations, such as quoting, customer relations, or production planning.
Self-starter who is self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented.
Reliable and dependable.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and execute.
Ability to champion projects to ensure customer delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop CNC programs and manufacturing processes for new and legacy 5-axis, mill-turn, and/or Swiss lathe parts.
Program parts and fixtures using CAM software, including Gibbs CAM.
Optimize feeds, speeds, and processes for maximum efficiency.
Design fixtures and custom cutting tools.
Use machine simulation software to ensure collision-free code.
Aid in quoting new work, including providing design-for-manufacturability feedback to customers.
Set up and run CNC mills and lathes as needed to support new product introduction and continuous improvement efforts.
Mentor and teach machinists new skills.
Collaborate with machinists to resolve programming and machine issues.
Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas for new and legacy parts.
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Perform other job-related duties and follow job-related instructions as requested.
