About The Position

Opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our team and advance our capability to develop new and innovative electric motor products. The CNC Programmer & Machinist is a core member of the R&D team and is responsible for programming and operating the CNC mill and CNC lathe of the R&D machine shop. This role heavily contributes to the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators established for On-Time Delivery and Quality of prototype evaluation units. Demonstrating strong execution skills is a critical part of this role. This opportunity is in West Chester, PA. What You’ll Do Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned. Program, set up, and operate HURCO TM6i 2-axis CNC turning center. Program, set up, and operate HURCO VM5i 3-axis CNC machining center. Inspect your own work using various inspection equipment to measure tight tolerances including: Height Stands Micrometers Calipers Indicators Grind and fabricate specialty tooling as required. Sharpen tools as required. Help troubleshoot machines as required. Teach fundamentals in machine operation, set-up, and programming (as requested). Measure and maintain quality and safety standards around the CNC machining area. Keep records, maintain equipment and supplies required to support CNC machines. Keep and maintain records of parts machined on CNC machines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year machine tool diploma or degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years experience programming for CNC turning and/or machining centers.
  • 1 year experience with HURCO CNC machines.
